Assessing Home Care Cost

Payments Methods We Accept

We offer free consultations to go over our various payment options, and to help you determine your eligibility for any benefits to which you may be entitled. We do not accept medicare.

There are usually 6 types of approaches for payment:

  1. Full coverage medical insurance- where the insurance company pays the claims for their customers.
  2. Medicaid- Medicaid eligibility looks at both the applicant’s (and sometimes one’s spouse’s) income and their total resources.  A rule of thumb for the year 2021 is a single individual, 65 years or older, must have income less than $2,382 / month.
  3. Medicaid Waiver- The income limit is 300% of the Federal Benefit Rate (FBR). As of 2020, this means an applicant can have up to $2,349 / month in income. There is also an asset limit, which in most states, is $2,000 for a single applicant.    Medicaid waivers are state specific, to check your state qualifications: https://www.medicaidplanningassistance.org/state-specific-medicaid-eligibility/
  4. Private Pay/Out Of Pocket- Due before services are rendered. **Payment Plan is available for Live In services only. We will bill client on a regular basis at an agreed upon rate which may be per hour, per visit or per 24-hour shift depending on need.
  5. Long Term Care Insurance
  6. VA Aid and Attendance-  Veterans and their spouses who are at least 50% disabled and over the age of 65 may qualify for home care assistance through the Department of Veteran’s Affairs. Senior veterans are encouraged to look into this benefit with a VA representative.
  7. Veteran’s Care Program: The VA offers some home and community based in-home care benefits.
  8. Workforce Safety Insurance (WSI): WSI offer home and community-based home care services for injured workers.
